From time to time we like to showcase certain aspects of ABACUS. This can be an in depth look at a particular feature, full walkthroughs or a collections of features grouped around a particular theme or topic. Our current showcase sections are summarised below, click each to read more details about them.
Macrobenthic
Macrobenthic analysis has been in ABACUS since it's original inception. Take a look at some of the features that help speed up the entry of macrobenthic data entry (including WoRMS Aphia Search, copying and importing identifications), and the tools to monitor and improve your data management (including the Internal QC report).
Particle Size Analysis
See how easy it can be to manage your particle size analytics work in ABACUS with features including single entry of sieve series (empty sieve weights) and instant calculations and alerts to inform users of possible mistakes.
Also in this showcase is 4 minute video showing an example of how a sample event is created, how the laser analysis data is entered and then eventually exported.
Remote working
See the features available in ABACUS that allow staff to work remotely or from home. From fully customisable recording of sample storage (location, storage vessels, storage contents) to 'stock check' reports of sample locations and real time reports of sample processing progress.
